Refurbishment of a pickling basin

The customer MSH Metallbeize- und Stahlhandelsgesellschaft mbH had placed their trust in the GBT Group to renovate their aging pickling tank.

In order to be able to assess the steel quality, it was necessary to blast the pickling tank in advance. It turned out that the steel in the basin was badly damaged and had to be partly re-sheeted in order to obtain a substrate suitable for rubber lining.

After the steel renovation and sandblasting again, the pickling tank was protected with the HAW H05 lining system in a layer thickness of 4mm. After vulcanization of the hard rubber coating, the outer surfaces were painted according to the manufacturer's specifications.

 

The pickling tank was handed over to the customer MSH Metallbeize- und Stahlhandelsgesellschaft mbH to their complete satisfaction.
